Day 2: Galway, Ireland

We made it to Ireland!

Our flights went pretty smoothly and were uneventful. However, when you're flying overseas with no return flight you are definitely marked for special security checks. I was starting to think maybe Rosalie really had called the airlines. We've spent today wandering around the city, and saw a church where Christopher Columbus is said to have prayed before sailing to America.

Departing in 8 Days!

Our first flight has been booked and so the blog begins. We depart on the 30th and are starting in Ireland. I never thought I'd be a blogger, but it seems like a great way to document the adventure and keep up with everyone while we're gone. I don't claim to be a writer, so hopefully the subject of the blog will be interesting enough to carry it. Thanks for all the great blog title suggestions.
