Today we took the bus to Letterflack and spent most of the day hiking at the Connemara National Park. The park was essentially one trail that went to the top of a mountain. The trail was straight up for the most part. It peaked at around 1500 feet. The whole time we were hiking there was a nice breeze. However when we neared the top the winds really picked up. At the top, some of the gust made me a little nervous. (For those of you familiar with Todd's record of balance and broken bones you understand why.) The hike down was much nicer. Once we got back to the village we got things settled in at the lodge we're staying at and had dinner at a little place down the street. After a day of hiking we aren't up for doing much else tonight. And even if we were up for it I don't know that there's much to do in this tiny town. Tomorrow we are headed to Cork.

About halfway up. You can see part of the town of Letterfrack to the far right, near the sea.
Todd at the top, trying not to be blown away.
Our lodge for the night.
I like the white plastic chair in front of the lodge...so rustic.
