Days 141-142; Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

From Siem Reap we flew to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on our way to Australia. We really had not intended to visit KL, but it was cheaper to fly there first and spend the night than to fly direct to Melbourne. It is much more modern than the other cities we visited in SE Asia and seems like a good place to shop if you're into that sort of thing.

It's almost the Chinese Lunar New Year, and it appears that it will be the year of the rabbit.

Lots of Chinese decorations around the shoping centers in KL. This one had drums to beat for good luck.

The Petronas Towers. Once the tallest building in the world, but still the tallest towers. There are many skyscrapers in KL and it was difficult to get  a photo of both towers; at least from where we were in KL.

Near our hotel there was an ountdoor/covered walking area with a lot of restaurants and shops.

Next we fly to Melbourne. SE Asia has been very interesting, but we have to admit that we are looking forward to being in a primarily English speaking country again for the first time in several months.
